Christmas Lunchtime Soccer Leagues
During the first term pupils from Third to sixth class played lunchtime soccer leagues every day. Firstly, some of the sixth class pupils were selected as captains. They then picked their teams. We were delighted that all the pupils from third to sixth played in the league. In the end two teams emerged from the pack to play in the final and had a chance of winning the prestigious Christmas League Cup. We also had third and fourth place play offs. Overall the children loved the lunch time leagues and we intend on starting a Spring Basketball League after all the children have received skills training from the coaches with Cork Local Sports Partnership.
