5th and 6th Class
The pupils of 5th and 6th class had great fun experimenting and investigating during Science Week 2020. We learned how to investigate and record heart rate before and after activity. We learned about the spread of bacteria on bread when we dont wash our hands. We also had lots of fun creating explosive volcanoes, cleaning coins and discovering the power of wind by creating Balloon cars! We studied optical illusions and did Vex robotics coding and we really enjoyed the Science week quiz!
2nd and 3rd class
2nd and 3rd class had fantastic fun for Science Week 2020. They kicked it off by designing and building parachutes using different materials. They then tested them out to see which ones would work the best!
They also explored the three states of matter - solid, liquid and gas and investigated how they can be changed from one state to another by heating and cooling.
Finally, they learned how solids can turn into liquids when they dissolve in water when mixed. They especially enjoyed exploring this with hot chocolate powder and warm milk!!
